The
grade of a dissertation depends significantly on the quality of the overall
report along with the structure and quality of the individual chapters contained
within the document. The longest and most important chapter in a thesis is the literature review which
combines your study with previously conducted researches in a way that you
first attempt to identify and point out the gaps found in previous researches and
then present how these gaps will be filled in other chapters. Therefore a high
quality literature review should actually criticize previously conducted
researches and portray the gaps or limitations present in the theories or
concepts put forward by researchers in the past. Secondly, your review needs to
be explicable and excellent in terms of writing which means that the
appropriate level of writing should be used and there should be no mistakes
whatsoever with respect to grammar, spelling or sentence use. You should also
ensure that you have cited all sources correctly and appropriately in the
required citation style.
