What is the effective method for writing a literature review for dissertation?

There are usually five or seven main sections in a thesis but the total number mainly depends on the focus area of a specific research or the guidelines or requirements of a university. Irrelative of the total number of sections there are some sections which are necessarily a part of this very important document. The literature review for dissertation is one such chapter and it is very important that you know the effective method for completing it. The procedure starts with planning and outlining where you write the rough headings for individual subsections and collect literary sources accordingly. Then you start reading the data you have collected so a critical analysis can be presented in the review of literature for dissertation. It is sometimes very effective to cross reference and interlink concepts and theories from previous researches with one another and with the specific topic or focus of your research.
